The Multiply Method
What could our people be capable of if AI were introduced in the right way?
Built from work with CEOs and senior leaders across financial services, professional services, and operations-led SMEs.
Your teams are experimenting with AI. Your tools budget is growing. And you still can't point to the business value. That's the gap most SME leaders I speak to are sitting in. Activity without direction. Interest without impact.
It's written for leaders who want to stop running AI as a side experiment and start treating it as operating capability.
Built for CEOs, COOs, and senior leaders of growing SMEs. Not a technical manual. Not a vendor pitch. If you're looking for a tools comparison, this won't be it.

What this is for
The Multiply Method is the organising framework behind all advisory and implementation work at The AI Leader Lab. It exists because most AI adoption stalls at the same point, and it isn't the tools. It's how work is structured, what managers reinforce, and what leadership actually believes AI is for.
The roadmap walks you through five stages. Each stage has a clear outcome, a set of diagnostic questions, and a workbook to complete at your own pace. The purpose isn't to generate a project. It's to give you clarity before you decide what to do next.
The AI Maths Framework
A diagnostic framework for understanding where an organisation's AI strategy actually sits, and what the next level demands. Every AI strategy, whether articulated or not, is doing one of four things to its people.
AI replaces people. Headcount drops. Work parcelled to tools or redistributed to survivors.
Leadership question: "Where can we cut?"
AI removes tasks from roles. People do less, but nothing fills the gap. Roles get thinner.
Leadership question: "What can we take off people's plates?"
People get AI access alongside existing work. Intent is good but nothing else changes. Same shed, power tools.
Leadership question: "How do we give people AI?"
AI fundamentally changes what people can do. Roles expand. The organisation does things it couldn't do before.
Leadership question: "What could our people do that they couldn't before?"
The jump between each level is not a technology problem. It is a leadership judgement problem. Most organisations claim they are at Addition or Multiplication. The diagnostic usually finds otherwise.

Book an hour to walk through the roadmap together. We'll identify where you are, what's blocking progress, and what a sensible next move looks like. No pitch. Just clarity.
From where you are now to AI that compounds, without the jargon that usually comes with it.
Complete it in about ten minutes with your leadership team. It's uncomfortable in a useful way.
Forces the hard sequencing calls most programmes quietly avoid.
And the thinking that sits underneath each one.
For the conversations that have been sitting on the agenda without quite getting structured.
